Part Two of the three stage Peak District Marathon Weekend will take place on the Tissington Trail. Great for veterans and newcomers to the sport alike, this route takes you along a disused railway before looping back through the countryside. Come for the chance to clock a quick time.

The Peak District Tissington Trail 10 Mile routes

The Tissington Trail is the second instalment of Nice Work's three-part Peak District Series. Those who have complete in all three events will have run 26.2 miles and receive a Commemorative Peak District Marathon Weekend Medal.

All three events will feature a Peak District Chip Timed Mile event, which is open to juniors and adults alike.

The Peak District Carsington Water 10K
The Peak District Monsal Trail 10 Mile

The Tissington Trail is a fantastic route that tracks along a disused railway line spanning from Ashbourne to Buxton. After 5 miles, the course doubles back for a downhill finish through that takes in all the beauty of rural Derbyshire.

Coach transport will ferry athletes to the start point in Parsley, with runners making their way back along the trail to finish.

Raceday Logistics


1000: Race begins

Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the race begins, to allow plenty of time for any travel issues and the completion of the registration process.


Spectators are strongly encouraged to come along and create a great race-day atmosphere at the event HQ.


Nice work are always on the lookout for volunteers to help out with their events. There are a variety of roles available from marshalling to helping with event set-up.

Do I have to enter all three races to compete?
No, each race can be entered individually. However, to obtain a Peak District Marathon Weekend Medal, you must enter and completed all three events within the series.
