Route information
This charity event returns for its second year to Thruxton Circuit in Andover, Hampshire, one of the fastest racing tracks in the country. With a variety of challenges and distances on offer, there's something for all ages and abilities, and you'll be raising money to support people who have become tetraplegic through a sports injury.
The circuit is the perfect place to race, with 2.4 miles of wide track making it ideal for those taking on a cycling event for the first time. For the ultimate challenge, take on the Platinum event, new for 2024, which will see riders complete 100 miles, or 42 laps of the track in total! The Family Challenge, aimed at children, requires participants to complete 1-10 laps, the Bronze Challenge consists of 10 laps, the Silver of 20 laps, the Gold Challenge of 30 laps and the Team Relay of 42 laps, shared between 4 team members.
For those wanting to make a weekend of it, there will be camping available at Thruxton Circuit.

By Car
Thruxton Circuit is easily accessible from both the M3 and M4 and is 1.5 hours from London and 2.5 hours from Birmingham by car. Once on the A303, follow the signs for Thruxton Circuit.
If using a Sat Nav, use the postcode SP11 8PN.
There is free parking available at Thruxton Circuit.

There is a main line train station in Andover (10 minutes away), which runs from Waterloo.

Age Requirements
The Family Cycling Challenge is open to children aged 4-14.
Please note that children aged 4-14 must be accompanied by an adult on the track at all times. Adults joining their children on the track don't require a ticket, unless they plan to take part in the Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum or Team Relay challenge too.
Team Relay
All teams must have 4 members and the 42 laps of the challenge will be split between them. How these laps are split is completely up to you, but only one person is allowed to cycle per lap.
Fundraising Requirements
There is no minimum sponsorship requirement, but participants are asked to raise as much as possible for Regain, as every bit of fundraising helps!
The fundraising requirements for the different challenges are as follows:
  • Family Cycling Challenge: as much fundraising as possible
  • Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum Challenges: suggested fundraising of £100+
  • Team Relay: suggested fundraising of £200+
Spectator Info
Spectators are welcome to attend the event free of charge.
How much do I have to fundraise for The Regain Cycling Challenge?

Will there be food and drink available at The Regain Cycling Challenge?
Yes, there will be breakfast including tea and coffee available for participants and supporters to buy from 9am-12pm. There will also be lunch available to buy from 12-4pm. Post event food is included in your entry fee and water and snacks will be provided during the cycling challenge.
Are volunteers needed for The Regain Cycling Challenge?
Yes, volunteers are needed to run the event. If you're interested in volunteering, fill out volunteer form at registration.
