At around 6K there is a sharp turn to the right off the main path which takes you through a triangular section and then back onto the main path. There were not any marshal at this point and someone new to the course can easily run straight ahead at this point especially on the second lap when the field is strung out and they may not see the arrow.

Always a great event - a marshall by the loop a lot of people missed would have kept them honest!

Challenging, but great route to run! Lovely views and some variety, which is nice when it’s tough. Also a great medal. My only suggestion would be to play some music as it really adds to the atmosphere and it’s motivating!
