Route information
Welcome to the famous Richmond RUNFEST, where can you take on a half marathon or marathon starting in the world-renowned Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew. Described as one of London's most scenic marathon routes, this is not one to miss.
You'll pass a variety of stunning architecture and scenery along the way, including Kew Gardens' 10-storey Great Pagoda, the Grade I-listed Syon House, the former residence of the Duke of Northumberland, Ham House, Richmond Palace and Teddington Lock. The route then heads towards Richmond Lock, where the terrain changes from natural paths to the Thames Path, though remaining mainly flat underfoot.
The course will end with a fantastic festival finish with live music in Old Deer Park in Richmond.
Both courses are incredibly flat meaning runners can spend less energy on climbing hills and sweeping descents, and more effort on appreciating the surrounding sights and scenery.
