Here are the distances available for THE ROC Scotland
Route information
Swim Course
Distance: 1,500m
Starting on the grass on the Isle of Glencoe you will run into the Loch Leven where you will traverse a hammer head shaped course. All participants must be wearing a wetsuit.
Bike Course
Distance: 38.5k out
This pike course will have lots of long fast sections with plenty of hills, thrills and trails. You must have a mountain bike or a gravel bike for this course. The first 16k will be on road, followed by 21k on trails, then 27k on rougher trails, back on the road for another 24k and a final 6k on rough and rugged terrain. This course is perfect for those looking to challenge themselves on a more technical style course.
Ben Nevis Mountain - Trail Run
Distance: 8.25k (each way)
The run course will be absolutely stunning, offering clear paths taking you on a tough ascent to the summit. Once at the top you must then run the course back to the transition before getting back on the bike.
Bike Course
Distance: 42k back
This will be the reverse route of the previous bike course with a bit extra on the road which will take you the other way around Loch Leven to the Finish. There will be some fantastic trails and plenty of hills to enjoy.
Final Trail Run
Distance: 1k
The final challenge is a quick 1k to the finish line, embrace all the cheer from the crowd and be rewarded with your finisher's medal.

Age Requirements
Participants must be 18 years of age or older to participate.
Race packs
You will receive a digital race pack 4 weeks before the race and a final one a week before the race confirming any final details. This will include information on where you can collect your timing tags, and bibs on the day of the race.
Registration
At registration you will receive a drawstring bag which you must put your mountain kit bag in. Your mountain kit bag must include the following items:
  • Full waterproof body cover of hooded jacket and trousers (we recommend with taped seams)
  • Hat/buff
  • Gloves
  • Water bottle / carrier
  • High Energy Snacks
  • Foil Blanket
  • High Factor Sun Cream
  • Whistle
  • Trail Running shoes
  • Change of clothes (optional)
The drawstring bag will be taken to T2 at Ben Nevis Log Cabins where it will be ready for you.
Transitions
  • Transitions 1 and 4 are positioned near the start lines.
  • Transitions 2 and 3 are positioned at the Ben Nevis Log Cabin in Glen Nevis.

Aid stations will be located at the following points:
  • Glen Nevis
  • 5k Ben Nevis Checkpoint
  • Summit
  • North Ballachulish (return leg)
Prizes
There will be £1,000 prize money and a trophy for the first man and first woman.
