This endurance triathlon is a totally unique racing experience, seeing participants travel to the top of Wales' highest mountain and back. Swim, bike and run across 115k and marvel at the breathtaking landscape that Wales has to offer, this is not for the faint-hearted.

Route description
Route description

Commencing on the golden sands of Abersoch beach the race starts with a 1.25km sea swim in the villages idyllic bay before heading off on a 49.5km fast and progressively undulating bike route into the Snowdon Massif.

The race then heads on foot via the toughest route up Wales’ highest mountain along The Watkin Path, 6km of 3,330ft formidable ascent to the summit where you can absorb those exceptional panoramic views before heading 6km back down, 489.5km return cycle, culminating with a 1km run along Abersoch beach before crossing the finish line.

A truly irresistible mix of tough racing, inspiring terrain & memorable rewards and a well-deserved after-race party to celebrate what you’ve achieved.

Logistics and schedule

Registration:

Registration will be open the evening before the race. If, for some reason, you cannot arrive until the morning of the race you must book an emergency registration slot.

Race Day:

*Please arrive at least 45 minutes before the start time.

07:40 - Safety Briefing

08:00 - Race Starts

12:00 - Snowdon 4km Cut-Off

Competitors who do not reach the 4km checkpoint in Snowdon by the cut-off time will be instructed not to head t the summit but to turn around and finish the remainder of the course.

Do I need insurance to enter?
Unless you are an affiliated member of the British Triathlon Federation you must purchase a Day License Membership at registration. This gives you third part liability insurance and will be valid on the day of your competition. It is non-transferrable.

Is there an age requirement to compete in the ROC - Spring?
Yes, competitors must 18 and over to take part.
FAQ
Will temperature determine the swim distances?
Yes, in accordance with the British Triathlon Federation's rules, should the sea temperature drop below 11 degrees then a 3km trail run will replace the swim.
