Route information
The Rock Hard Coast consists of 5 different races, all taking place along the formidable coastal tracks in and around South Milton.
All the races start from South Milton Sands runners taking in all the races are guaranteed to take in the best parts of the South West Coast Path, the courses will be clearly distance marked and well marshalled throughout.
5k
The 5k route heads from South Milton Sands on to Bolt Tail before doubling back via Inner Hope.
10k
The 10k takes a route to Outer Hope and Bolt Tail before returning inland via Bolberry Common, Karageen and then the footpath back to South Milton.
Half Marathon
The half marathon heads out from South Milton Sands, visiting Hope Cove and South Sands via the Soth West Coast Path, cutting back via East Soar on the return.
Marathon
The Rock Hard Marathon is a hilly and spectacular coastal marathon which follows the South West Coast path. It starts at South Milton Sands and heads towards Salcombe, before doubling back via East Soar to Aveton Gifford and Bantham.
Ultra
The Ultra will take a smililarly beautiful and stunning route. The South West coast path will be the main route on this epic challenge.

South Milton Sands is situated just North of Salcombe along the coast. It can be easily accessed from Ivybridge, Plymouth or Totnes.
Parking
There is free parking available in the National Trust car park, regardless of whether you are a member or not.

Age Restrictions
There are age restrictions for all of these races. You must be at least 12 years old for the 5k, at least 16 for the 10k, at least 17 for the Half Marathon, at least 18 for the Marathon and at least 20 for the Ultra.
