Route information
Get moving this December with this festive run geared towards all abilities - walkers included! Starting from Staines, you'll follow the River Thames on a 4.37-mile lap, running a minimum of 5k or as much as an ultramarathon.
The route is fully signed, so no navigational experience is needed. The course mainly follows well-made paths and tarmac with a very short grass section.
You'll have full control over the distance you want to run. A full lap is 4.37 miles or 7k, and you can as many or as few laps as you wish within the 7 hour time limit. Complete 3 laps for a half marathon, 6 for a marathon and 7 or over for an ultra.

Aid Station
There will be an aid station at the start line. Therefore you can access the aid station every 4.37 miles.
On Site Facilities
There will be toilets at race HQ near the start and finish area. Runner should be aware that the bag drop is not staffed, so all items left there are left at the sole responsibility of the owner.
Distance Pins
You'll receive a distance pin if you complete either a half marathon, mega half marathon, marathon, 50k or ultra in the 7 hour time limit.
Age Requirements
Ages 12 and above are welcome to participate in the Year End Time Turner. You must however be aged 18 or over to be eligible for the UKA Affiliated entry.
FAQs
Do I have to run for the entire 7 hours of the Run Before Christmas?
Not at all! All runners are encouraged to do as many laps as they can, but the minimum distance is 5k.
When will race instructions for the Run Before Christmas be sent out?
Final race day instructions will be sent out via email 4 days prior to the event with full race day information. Number pick up is on the day at race registration before the start of the event.
