Welcome to the 2018 Sandman Triathlon powered by Suunto, the third and final race in the Always Aim High 'SUUNTO Adventure Triathlon Series'.

The Sandman Triathlon race venue is incredible Newborough Forest, the start and finish set in an exclusive area within the 700ha woods adjacent to the world famous Llanddwyn Beach.

The Anglesey Sandman Triathlon has something for all abilities and comprises of four distances, the Legend 72.4, Savage, Full and Sprint. You will also be able to compete as a relay team in both the full and sprint distances.

What’s Included

Age Limits: Competitors must be 17 years or over to enter and take part in the full tri and 15 years or over for the sprint tri.

Please Note: if you are not a club member, you will be required to register as a day member with Welsh Triathlon on the day of the event. This will cost £5, payable on the day.

Spectators

In order to give athletes the best and safest experience the access road to the main beach car park will be closed off for most of the day for non-participants.

You may want to share a ride with family and supporters. Once the entrance is closed spectators and supporters are able to park off site and walk or cycle in to experience the buzz. Alternatively watch from somewhere else on the cycle route.

FAQs
  • We cannot allow any accompanying dogs, unless for reasons of registered disability.
  • Event organizers are able to amend the course route at any time and without prior notification.
  • Wearing of wetsuits for the swim discipline will be mandatory.
  • Any irresponsible littering will result in disqualification.
