With a total ascent of 2185ft and descent of 2001ft, this hilly mixed terrain ultra has enough hills to get your leg muscles pumping. Traversing the canal pathways, you will pass ancient monuments embracing the historical landscape of the Brecon waterways. Listen to the trickle of the water and observe the passing canal boats as you take your time to conquer this 40 mile Ultra. This route is mostly rural with a smattering of urban landscapes to keep you on your toes. Dive into this fantastic adventure, and make sure to watch your footing when passing by the canal.

By Car
If following the sat nav please use the following address: Cwm Lane, Rogerstone, Newport, NP10 9GN, Wales.
If travelling from London you can take the M4 towards South Wales and Cardiff, turning off at junction 27 onto High Cross and B4591.
By Train
The closest major train station to the Fourteen Locks Canal Centre is Newport which is only a two mile walk or a 15 minute bus journey to the start line. If travelling from London to Newport you can take a train directly from Paddington station to Newport station.
