Route information
This event regularly features in Runner's World top 10 UK trail races and in 2019 was named a Top 10 Finalist for the Best Marathon in the UK at the Let's Do This Challenge Awards.
The Tissington Trail was once a railway line connecting Asbourne to Buxton and it runs for 13 miles from Parsley Hay to Ashbourne through beautiful rural surroundings.
This is an out and back route, with the last half of the race all being slightly downhill.
While the course is traffic-free, please remain vigilant of any other members of the public who are using the trail.

There is plenty of car parking in Ashbourne Town Centre and there is also a small car park at the Leisure Centre – please remember to pay the appropriate charge. Please also remember to follow directions to Ashbourne Leisure Centre for Race HQ (not the race start).

There are public bus services from Derby to Ashbourne Leisure Centre.

Race packs will be sent to participants ahead of the event.
Age Requirements
Entrants must be 18 and older to enter the event.
Aid Stations
There will be aid stations at approximately 3, 6 and 10 miles. All will have water plus there will be a selection of sugary drinks and snacks.

Spectator Info
Spectators can base themselves at the start and finish line and cheer on the runners at the two most crucial points of the race.
