Route information
Terrain off-road tracks, footpaths, bridleways, and a country lane
Route Type Loop
The race is open to runners of all abilities, from experienced athletes to social runners who want to try a challenging off-road course. It is a single-lap run through the woodlands of Limpsfield Common and the High Chart of Surrey and Kent. The course is almost entirely off-road along tracks, footpaths and bridleways, with a brief 200m stretch along a country lane.
The first two kilometres are flat, followed by some quite stiff drags as you climb onto the wooded plateau of the High Chart. Be assured that there are no steep hills. After the first water stop at 4.5k there is a short loop through the woods that brings you back to the same water stop at 6k. To finish, enjoy the fast run back, dropping down off the Chart for the run home. The finish is on the same bridleway that you ran along at the start.

My second visit to this race, a few changes this year which were a benefit. Great atmosphere from start to finish. And to top it of a technical tee shirt, medal, bottle of beer, water and banana at the finish. Even the weather was kind. Will be back again next year.

Tougher than expected but a good challenge. Very muddy in parts. Fabulous t-shirt and bottle of beer.

An amazing trail race. A fairly challenging route mainly through woodlands and grass , with some gentle and not so gentle inclines. It very muddy this year (brilliant!) after a night of rain. The route is very scenic (when you're not watching where to place your feet). Parts of the course are single track, so you may have to plan ahead for being overtaken or overtaking. Very well organised, with portaloos, baggage area, warm up and refreshments. Very welcoming volunteers and great support all of the way round. All finishers received a t-shirt, medal, and a bottle of Titsley Brewery beer. There were also spot prizes for an added element of fun. The only draw back was the main event parking, which meant we had to walk on and cross some fast roads. However that didn't detract from the race and the atmosphere. I had such a fantastic experience, and will definitely run again.

I was particularly encouraged by the drummers near the start/finish - they were very encouraging, particularly at the end of the race.

My favourite running fixture of the year. The marshals were awesome - at every junction with a big encouraging smile!

It would be good to have a clock next to the finish line so you can search for your photo much more easily. I was an hour 7/8 - so a long way to trawl through. Great though thanks.

Very well organised event with the results coming through really quickly - a big thank you for that. Great marshals - lots of encouragement - that's how you do it. Very muddy but the ground on the course held up well and the puddles added to the fun! Bottle of beer, a nice medal and a good quality T short - plus a banana - great goodies. A big thanks from me to all involved in organising - one for the diary again in 2020.
