Route information
Triathlon:
Willen Lake is hosting its first triathlon since the European Championships in 1984, and provides a stunning location for triathletes of all abilities to get their feet wet in support of the UK Emergency Services.
The race will begin at 7am by the jetty near the Lakeside Pub with a looped swim around the lake. Once out of the lake, participants will hop on their bikes and exit the city on a partially closed course. Those doing the Sprint distance will have an out and back cycle through the town, while the Standard and Middle distances will get to explore more of the rolling Buckinghamshire country roads, a perfect course to find some speed on the quiet lanes.
The course finishes with an undulating run through Campbell Park, exhibiting the best sights and sounds that Milton Keynes has to offer. It will be a lapped route, with the Standard distance completing 2 laps, and the Middle distance completing 4 laps, with an extra 1km loop.
5K & 10K
The run route with be a 5K looped course around Willen Lake and surrounding areas. The 10K will complete 2 laps of the course.
