300km cycling event starting from Troutbeck Bridge, Cumbria. Controls at Alston, Bellingham, Langholm and Gretna Green Services.

An early morning run past Ullswater, quiet roads via Alston, Bellingham, Kielder Water and Langholm. Fast food at the Gretna motorway services then back south to enjoy an evening descent of the Kirkstone Pass.

Just about hilly enough for AAA, but nothing too steep and for the majority of the ride lovely quiet roads with fine views. Short sections of main road near Langholm and Carlisle. Basic accommodation before and after the event in the school gym, bring sleeping bags/mats. Splendid catering in the pavilion and parking included in the price, You couldn't park in The Lakes and get tea and a cake for less than £8.00!!! Note that the 100km ride is not on as a calendar event this year, but the perm cards will be on sale on the day.
