First, take on the brisk open water swim off of the Weymouth coast. This swim route will see you entering the water at the same point you exit.
After the swim, make sure you have a pair of trainers at the ready, take a quick jog to the T1 transition at Weymouth College. When you exit the water you may undo the top half of the wetsuit but not take it fully off. Only once you are at T1 may you begin to remove your wetsuit.
From T1 you will head to your bike, exiting the way in which you entered. On the bike, you will experience a mostly flat course with some small undulations to challenge you throughout.
If you are on the main part of the route with other riders all signs will be Orange. Depending on what race you are in the bike section will split off. On the bike route please follow the correct coloured signs at the turnings that coordinate with your race:
- Orange: Middle (half-ironman) Distance
- Classic: Green
- Sprint: Yellow
Finally, you will head back to the transition area where you will transition on to the run where you will traverse the picturesque surrounding area of Weymouth. Soak up the atmosphere as you cross the final finish line.
Classic and Middle Run Routes
On the classic run, you will take on a two-lapped course, when you reach it the first time make sure to collect a wrist band on the first lap so you will be directed to the finish afterward.
