The Winchcombe Cross offers four options to enjoy the magnificent hills and trails in the Winchcombe area. The ultramarathons comprise three or four out-and-back legs of between 5 and 7 miles each way to give approximately 36.5(ish) or 50 miles. The four sections each offer some testing hills, beautiful views, and enjoyable trails. The marathon follows the first leg of the ultra route and then joins together legs 2 and 4 as a loop, giving a handy 26.5 mile route (approximately). The half marathon turns legs 2 and 4 into a loop for a tough 14.5 mile challenge. Be warned - it's hilly.

Here's what races are available for The Winchcombe Cross
The races criss-cross their way into and out of the delightful town of Winchcombe. The Winchcombe Cross is a single-stage, multi-terrain race that takes place along public rights of way and minor roads. The races start and finish in the town of Winchcombe, and the full 50-mile course comprises 4 out-and-back legs in different directions. The Half Marathon joins two legs together to form a continuous loop of approximately 14.5 miles. The Marathon starts with the out & back to Guiting Power and then follows the loop used by the Half Marathon. The 36.5 mile ultra does 3 of the legs, and the 50-mile ultra does all 4 out-and-back legs. All distances are approximate (very approximate!). If it turns out you do bonus miles, we apologize and congratulate you on your excellent achievement.
In addition to a marked course through fantastic countryside, chip timing, medical support, and a few nibbles at the check points, entrants will receive an item of Cotswold Running race gear at race registration. Finishers will receive a memento of their achievement.
