Route information
Starting at Melksham Town Football Club, the route heads south towards Devizes. Having set out on the A365 for a couple of miles, the route then leaves the road and heads through the villages of Worton, West Lavington and Tilshead. There will be a climb followed by a fast descent taking you into Chitterne.
From here, the route then heads to the East through Shrewton, Larkhill and Durrington. When you reach Bulford the route will head north along National Cycleway 45 on to Netheravon and Enford where the fuel station is located in the village hall.
The route continues North alongside the River Avon to Upavon and then continues on the A345 for two miles where the course heads towards Woodborough and onto Alton Barnes.
The route then turns west for seven undulating miles towards Devizes, where upon reaching the outskirts of the town you will head towards Roundway Hill. Just before the hill riders turn off and head through the villages of Rowde and Bromham. From here it is a fast descent back into Melksham and the finish at Melkdham Town Football Club.

Please arrive early, allowing plenty of time to register and get ready for the race.

All participants must bring their own bike in good working order and a helmet.

All profits from this event will go to the young persons charity Youth Action Wiltshire. A charity that has been working with Wiltshire’s young people for 70 years. The success has been built on developing innovative, effective and exciting services and through the expertise of the friendly and dedicated team.

What happens if I have an issue with my bike at The YAW100K Sportive?
All participants are expected to be self-sufficient in remedying minor technical issues whilst cycling eg puncture repairs, however in the event of a major malfunction eg snapped frame or chain, if you are unable to proceed to the nearest event hub then contact the Event Director who will assist in getting you and your bike back to the Start/Finish.
Is the The YAW100K Sportive raising money for charity?
Yes, all profits will go towards the young persons charity Youth Action Wiltshire.
Will there be any aid stations on the route at The YAW100K Sportive?
Yes there will be a feed station at the Enford Village Hall.
