Route information
Challenge yourself this winter, and leave the traffic and tarmac behind as you take on this wonderful trail run. The 10k run takes you through the stunning Thretford Forest, along winding trails and great quality tracks. The beautiful location, with tall pines all around provides a chance to get closer to nature.
The race consists of 1 loop within the picturesque Thretford Forest, which will be well signed and marshalled. The race starts and finishes in a field adjacent to the High Lodge Arena. With it being a trail race there will be some uneven ground to be cautious of. The race map will be available two weeks before the event.
There is also the chance to take on this challenge with your favourite furry friend with the Cani-cross 10k, which will have a separate start time. The Cani-cross race briefing will be sent via email prior to the event.
The route is all on forestry commission land and you are kindly asked to refrain from dropping any litter.
The race starts and finishes at High Lodge, which is a recreational site set in the heart of Thetford Forest offering extensive play areas, walking and cycling trails. There's a café, bike hire, as well as additional attractions for the whole family to enjoy.
