Route information
This marathon route consists of 8 laps and takes advantage of the stunning promenade walkway on both the Barrow side and over on Walney Island. The route crosses Walney Bridge to get to the Island and then follows the Promenade to the outskirts of North Scale Village. The route then reverses and crosses back over Walney Bridge to complete the lap back at the Dock Museum.
There is also a half marathon option for this event and this will be 4 complete laps of the course.
The route is well marked with yellow arrows on a black background.
What's included
At the aid stations there will be a variety of snacks and drinks including coke, squash, crisps, biscuits, cake, chocolate, vegan snacks and water. Each finisher will receive a unique medal and race goody bag.
