Route information
The Event
This event will see participants using their map reading skills to navigate to as many checkpoints and covering as much distance as they can within the time limit. You'll plan your own strategy and route, deciding how many CPs you want to visit and in what order, but make sure you get as many CPs as you can in the time allowed to have a shot at winning the prizes.
There will be a number of checkpoints set across each course, each worth 10 points.
The Long and Short course competitors must collect a minimum of one run and one bike checkpoint in order to qualify.
*As an added bonus, dogs are allowed to join in with the foot stages.
Penalties
1 point for every 30 seconds for being late back. Therefore, for every 5 minutes you are late back you lose a checkpoint.
Champions
The winner is the competitor with the largest number of points, if there is a tie, the winner is the competitor who gained the largest number of points in the quickest time.
