The Tiree 10k & Half Marathon started in 2006 and has grown to be a much anticipated event on the island calendar. Visiting runners are welcome along with local residents and we’ve had people travel from as far as Slovakia and Brazil just to do the race. The atmosphere is friendly and continues into the night with the legendary dance at An Talla.

Getting to Tiree
Caledonian MacBrayne run the ferry service to the islands. During the summer there is a ferry every day, it takes 4 hours from Oban and the departure times vary throughout the week. From October to March this timetable is reduced to 4 ferries a week. Although the ferry journey can be a hassle sometimes it actually serves to make Tiree more remote, enhancing the feel that you really are coming out to a tiny island out in the sea away from all the pressures of mainland life.
There’s also a flight from Glasgow every day with Logan Air and flights from Oban on Mondays and Wednesdays with Hebridean Air Service.
Sign in: Friday 6pm – 8pm & Saturday 10am – 1pm at An Talla (Community hall at Crossapol). All entry is completed in advance so you just need to sign in, pick up your race number, ask us any questions, and fuel up at the Cafe!
Race start time: 2pm on Sorobaidh Beach, a short walk from the hall
