If you're looking for a track event with a twist, look no further than Phoenix Running's Track Wars IV.
This unique experience will be a 6 hour timed event, where runners can choose to run as many laps as they would like within the time limit. Runners will start at 15:30, and after sunset at 18:04, will use their headlamps to illuminate their way around the track, spurred on by the epic party-like atmosphere.
There will be electronic chip timing to provide you with live updates as you run, so whether you want to test out your 400m sprint speed, or push yourself to complete an ultramarathon, this event can take any form you want it to.
If you want to run a certain distance then keep the following metrics in mind:
- 13 laps for 5.2km (meaning you complete at least 5km)
- 25 laps for 10km (meaning you complete exactly 10km)
- 53 laps for 21.2km (meaning you complete a half marathon)
- 105.5 laps for 42.2km (meaning you complete a marathon)
- 108 laps for 43.2km (meaning you complete an ultra marathon or 27 miles plus)

Parking:
There will be free parking available at the Sports Hub. Please do not park at the Leisure Centre.
Event day logistics
Schedule:
15:30: Event Starts
18:04: Sunset - those running after 18:00 must run with a head torch
21:30: Event Ends
Please arrive at least 30 minutes before race time to ensure plenty of time for registration
Toilets:
There will be toilets available at the Sports Hub. There will also be showers available, however, you may have to pay a small fee.
Bag Drop:
There will be a bag drop by the registration test in the track stadium. Please leave all valuables at home.
Age Limit:
Participants must be at least 18 years of age to participate
Spectator Info
The track is a great place to watch your runners and cheer them on.

Are walkers allowed in the Track Wars IV?
Yes, the event welcomes runners of all abilities. That being said, if you are walking please keep to the outer edge of the track so that faster runners can have the inner lanes.
Will parking at the Xcel Sports Hub be free for the Track Wars IV?
Yes, parking at the Sports Hub will be free. Please do not park at the leisure centre.
