Matterley Basin is in the private Matterley Estate that is nestled in the heart of the South Downs National Park and is a stunning location for the 2nd running of the TrailX Spring Fling Trail Run.
Whether you choose the 3k, 5k or the 10k, you'll be blessed with a brilliant mix of open gravel tracks, flowing woodland single tracks and more ups and downs than you can count - all within this brilliant farmland estate.

Get full directionsBy Train and Bus
Winchester station is the closest train station to the start, situated 4.6 miles away. From here, ride the 64 bus (towards Alton), alighting at Avington Turn. The Matterley Basin Grand Prix track is then a short 20-minute walk from here.
Parking
Cheesefoot Head Car Park is a short 15-minute walk from the start.

Charity Donation to Ukraine
Your entry would usually include an exclusive TrailX Spring Fling medal! However, this year the organiser will be taking the value of your medal, doubling it and making a donation of that value to the BBC supported UKRAINE HUMANITARIAN APPEAL that is being organised by the Disasters Emergency Committee. This means that with your support the organiser will donate £4.10 of every entry to this much-needed cause!
