Route information
Whether you chose to challenge yourself over the FullX distance or take on the HalfX you'll get to enjoy fabulous trail running and mountain biking in the amazing private farmland estate that is in the heart of the South Downs National Park.
Whether you're running or riding both distance make use of the established woodland single track trails and open paths to ensure there is a good mix of terrain.

Matterley Basin Grand Prix track, A31, Winchester SO24 1HW, UK
Get full directionsBy Train and Bus
Winchester station is the closest train station to the start, situated 4.6 miles away. From here, ride the 64 bus (towards Alton, alighting at Avington Turn. The Matterley Basin Grand Prix track is then a short 20 minute walk from here.
Parking
Cheesefoot Head Car Park is a short 15 minute walk from the start.

*Please arrive early, allowing plenty of time to park, attach your race number and warm up.
Age Restrictions
There are age restrictions in place at the event which are as follows:
- FullX - 16 and over
- HalfX - 14 and over
- Relay - 18 and over
Relay Entry
You may partner up with a friend to enter the FullX as a relay team. One team member will complete all of the trail running, and the other will complete all of the mountain biking.

What are the age restrictions for the TrailX Spring Off-Road Duathlon?
Entrants for the FullX race must be aged 16 and over on the day of the event, and entrants for the HalfX must be aged 14 and over. The relay race for FullX is only open to those aged 18 and over.
Can I enter the TrailX Spring Off-Road Duathlon on the day?
If there is availability, you may enter this event on the day. Please note that entry on the day will cost £5 more than the standard price.
When will online entries close for the TrailX Spring Off-Road Duathlon?
