2 LAPS TRIANGULAR OPEN WATER SWIM AROUND WATERHEAD BAY AT THE NORTH END OF LAKE WINDERMERE

BIKE : ENGLISH LAKE DISTRICT, OPEN ROAD
DISTANCE : 112 miles (180km)
ELEVATION GAIN : 12,000 ft (3,700 m)

START : T1 WATERHEAD, AMBLESIDE
FINISH : T2 WATERHEAD, AMBLESIDE

112 MILE OPEN ROAD ANTI CLOCKWISE CIRCULAR CYCLE AROUND THE ENGLISH LAKE DISTRICT ROUGHLY FOLLOWING THE FAMOUS FRED WHITTON SPORTIVE. INCORPORATING ALL SIX MAIN ROAD PASSES AS WELL AS A MOST OF THE SECONDARY CLIMBS, THE FRED WHITTON HAS ESTABLISHED IT'S SELF AS THE PREMIER BRITISH SPORTIVE SINCE IT'S INCEPTION IN THE LATE '90s.

RUN 26.6 MILES OUT AND BACK FROM T2 AT WATERHEAD AMBLESIDE ALONG THE GREAT LANGDALE VALLEY THROUGH ROSSET GHYLL TO THE SUMMIT OF SCAFELL PIKE, AT 978 metres (3,209 ft) ENGLANDS HIGHEST MOUNTAIN. RETRACING YOUR ROUTE BACK TO THE FINISH AT WATERHEAD AMBLESIDE
