The most wonderful way to start every new year race - great support all the way around make sure you wear fancy dress as this is now seen as de rigour at the Knacker Cracker up and down Box Hill !

The slow jog to the start was ok, but the walk back after the race was painful, after quickly cooling down after the race, with no bag drop and no coat, the long walk back to the car seemed to go on forever in the freezing cold!

The slow jog to the start was ok, but the long walk back after the race was painful, especially as we had no bag drop nearby and after very quickly cooling down without a coat, the walk back seemed to go on forever in the freezing cold!

Another good new year's day race from Trionium. Very challenging but a great start to the new year.

Please review the finish. There is a 2 mile walk back to the car and no facilities to take warm clothing up to the finish for the walk back to the bag drop (which wasn't even at the start). Please bear in mind most of us wear fancy dress which is ok for the run but not warm enough for the walk back. The weather was mild this year but had it been freezing or raining another story (I've done this race several times and had all weathers).

I love this race, I think this was my 8th year of doing it and I'll likely be back again. A great way to start the year. However, this year the finish proved to be an issue. As we jogged to the start and were off pretty quickly this was no problem, however, finishing and then having to walk back to the car parking of nearly 2 miles was not great. Can you not transport bags up to the finish so we could put warm clothes on to make the walk back! Please bear in mind most of us dress up in fancy dress which is fine for running but generally not warm enough. We were lucky with weather this year but it is mild, had it been freezing cold or raining another story!

Me & my two running buddies have run numerous races organised by Rob all fantastic friendly & fun 🥳🥳I know it’s not your fault about the Parking but seriously needs looking at .... If weather had been wet & colder doesn’t take long for Hypothermia to set in on the walk back to Denbies. Maybe a van could at least shuttle the bags to the finish. Thanks for another awesome start to the New Year. 🥳😛🥳

A Trionium race is always something to look forward to. The 2020 Knacker Cracker did not disappoint. Gorgeous loos at the carpark, stunning route, cheerful marshalls, lots of Jaffa Cakes (my strategy is to take two at each station and nibble them while going up the steep bits). Yes, it's tough. Yes, it's muddy. Yes, you do need to practise hills (or take the running buggy out LOTS) beforehand. Walk the ups, run the downs, splash through the mud and enjoy the costumes. Can't think of a better way to start the year.

Me & two friends have run this race a few times and other races organised by Trionium & loved the races & friendship shown by everyone along with the food stations & stunning scenery. However this year’s parking was unacceptable as no bag drop for when you finish it wouldn’t take much for a couple of vans to ferry bags to the finish. If it had rained people could easily get hypothermia before they got back to their cars. I appreciate the National trust changed the normal arrangements but needs looking at. Thanks 🤔🤔.

So I was knackered and I wasn’t even running it, but as official peacock and unofficial photographer I ended up doing at least half of it in reverse! As ever, this is an utterly bonkers way to spend your New Year’s Day, but there is no better one!
