Route information
These triathlon sessions are aimed at and ideal for athletes who want to get involved in the sport of triathlon but want the benefit of a completely coached event before entering the triathlon race scene on their own.
These sessions are run jointly between PFG Coaching & Trimax Events and will give you the athlete a wealth of experience and knowledge to take you forward with confidence.
The session will be a complete day of coaching with 2 instructors coaching every aspect of triathlon whether you are looking to do a sprint triathlon or full distance.

Free Parking at West Country Water Park just off M4/M5 M5 Junction 16. Short ride from Bristol Parkway Station.
Event day logistics
10am Greeting and introduction.
10.15am Tri talk session.
11am Into transition area for a simulated race set up.
11.30am Coached introduction to open water swimming moving on to advanced topics including floating starts, sighting, buoys, drafting and exits.
12.30am Onto dry land and into transition for a wet practice before a debrief.
1pm Lunch Break with Q&A.
1.30pm A coached group ride will follow working through bike mount & dismount, cadence, bike positions, drafting rules and techniques, gear selections & hills etc.
2.30pm Another transition practice as you return to T2 this time to ensure you don't get penalised for common mistakes and make a smooth change onto the run.
3pm Group run looking at techniques and pacing.
3.45pm Debrief question & answer session.
4pm All attendees will receive a certificate, medal and a few goodies.
Spectator Info
Spectators are welcome and there is an on site cafe but it will be a full day of coaching some of which is off site.
Do I need experience to take part in the Try a Tri Coached Triathlon Day?
No this is aimed at beginners or first time triathletes
Do I need to be able to swim to take part in the Try a Tri Coached Triathlon Day?
Yes you should be able to pool swim as we will not be giving swimming lessons but will adapt you to open water from pool swimming
