Such a great day, I’ve been to smaller events before where you feel like the odd one out, I guess some are just clicky… but zigzag are amazing & so welcoming. Makes me want to enter more of their events & also massive kudos to the epic medals… they do not skimp on those & they are amazing!

I ran the Ultra and a great event. I liked the format. Only marked down the route as it lacked any variety. A welcome return to grass root trail events where you feel you are freinds rather than customer. The event price is very fair and I love that everyone gets a quality medal regardless of distance travelled. It was the capachino and cake that closed the deal though 😜

The race organisers are lovely and encouraging. The facilities are sadly lacking due to the location though. No proper toilets and running water to wash hands, no where to change and no proper HQ for the race. It might be okay in the Summer but in the winter when you are soaked from a run, you want to be able to change indoors atleast (especially for ladies). Course can get very secluded and lonely as well, as it is in the fields. Need to keep wits about you.
