Terrain: The rolling hills and woodland of the Tweed Valley offer unlimited scope for those looking for varied terrain. The course follows an extensive network of secluded paths and tracks through the various forests, multi-use trails along the banks of the beautiful river Tweed, winding tracks over hills & short sections on minor roads linking in the various areas.
There are no real technical aspects to the course & with spectacular views over the Tweed Valley unfolding throughout, this will be a truly fantastic ultra for offering great variety in terms of scenery & terrain. The routes will be fully marked so no navigation experience is necessary.

Did the race in 2018
I understand that anyone is welcome to this race which means you need to have such and extensive kit requirement buy for me this was too excessive.I am a trail runner so the length of flat cycle path running was too much for me, I didn't really like it.Every other part of the course was excellent I really enjoyed it.I would definitely come back again and maybe to one of your other events.I think the organisation is excellent and the course was extremely well marked which is very helpful when your pushing hard.Thanks for a great race I did enjoy it

Don't be fooled by the mid-November date - bring sunglasses, or at least a cap. With the rolling mists and rising sun it really was delightful country, though blinding in spots. There were a couple of slightly prolonged road sections but still through really nice areas. All the significant climbs are through beautiful forests, are at runnable grades and not technical at all. The descents after the Three Brethren and the final one about a half mile from the finish are the best bits. Even if the marshalling and general organisation hadn't been first-rate, I'd still definitely do this race again.

All info provided before hand and glentress forest lodges is basically at the start/finish so if your travelling a distance you can fall out of bed in the morning and be at the start line
