Route information
The course starts and finishes on the Merchant Taylors' athletics track. After a loop of the running track, the route then takes you out into the school's picturesque grounds which overlap both Hertfordshire and Middlesex.
This is a mixed terrain course - beginning on track surface before hitting the surrounding paths and grassland. Runners will get the opportunity to take in the striking landscape and beautiful lakes of this rural cross-county school.
Each race will be a lapped course, with marshals on-site and clear distance marking every KM.

Car: There is extensive free car parking available at the Merchant Taylors' School.
Tube: Moor Park station, on the Metropolitan Line, is a 10-minute walk away from the school. The tube takes approximately 35 minutes from Baker Street.
Train: The Chiltern Line runs every 30 minutes from London Marylebone to Harrow on Hill where you can switch to the Metropolitan Line.
If using TFL please check ahead for any delays and ensure you leave enough time to complete the registration process.

Registration will remain open 15 minutes prior to each race. All race numbers will be collected pre-race so please ensure you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your race to ensure a smooth registration process.

Spectators are strongly encouraged to come along and indulge in the Christmas cheer.
Given the looped nature of the course, supporters will get a number of glimpses of the runners while enjoying a mince pie for themselves.

Is there a minimum age for entry?
There is no age requirement for the 1 mile race. However, the 5km has a minimum age of 12 and the 10km is 15+.
Do the races have a time limit?
The 5km and 10km races have a time limit of 2 hours.
Are changing facilities available?
The school does have changing rooms on-site, however it is recommended that participants come ready to run.
Can I store my bag?
Secure baggage storage will be provided. However, it is advised that valuables are left at home as Active Training World does not accept responsibility for lost items.
