Starting from the same location as the full distance race & following the same course, this fully supported 75km challenge finishes at the ‘Meeting of the Waters’ at Warden where the Rivers of the North & South Tyne come together.
Starting at Deadwater on the border between England & Scotland, the North Tyne Trail passes alongside the imposing Kielder reservoir & down the beautiful Tyne valley to the finish at the historic Tynemouth Watch House Museum.
The courses are fully waymarked with trail markers, meaning navigation is required for this route, though it is strongly recommended to revise the route before the day of the event.

There is various parking around the registration location. The closest car park is called Kielder Castle Visitor Centre Car Park.

You must be aged 20 and over to enter in this event.

There will be aid stations located throughout the course, at roughly every 20km.

42km Bellingham Town Hall NE48 2AA – Indoor station. Opposite Rose & Crown Pub.
55km Wark Sports Club, NE48 3NP – Indoor station.
75km (FINISH OF 75km) Boatside Inn, Warden, NE46 4SQ – Indoor Station
92km Riding Mill Parish Hall, Millfield Road, NE44 6DJ – Indoor station.
111km Newburn Rowing Club, NE15 8NL – Indoor Station.
123km The Cycle Hub, Newcastle Quayside, NE6 1BU – Indoor Station.

Bag tags will be provided at Registration. You can deposit a bag at race registration and this will be transported to the finish at Warden ready for your arrival.
