The 4 UK Ultra races are essentially on parts of the same route at some point, so Trail-Run Explorers have broken them down into 7 separate point to point runs covering in the region of 15-31 miles, creating the Recce Series. The Recce runs are a great way to get some longer training runs in with company and also to familiarise yourself with the routes/terrain of the UK Ultra races.
The runs are for all levels of fitness and will be run at a pace suitable for the whole group. To be clear, these are not races, so if you are looking to zoom off at a 6 minute pace, then this perhaps isn't the event for you.
As the only ultra in the series, recce 7 is arguably the toughest yet. And not to mention it's a night run! Starting at Bignor Hill Car Park, runners will traverse roughly 31 miles all the way to Saddlescombe Farm. This route covers miles 30-61 of the 100 mile UK Ultra Race.
