Great well organised half marathon. The course heads out into the country so don't expect many spectators until you hit the last mile. Warning, the last 2 miles are ever so slightly up. Its still a pb course but save something for the run in or get caught out. Nice medal design and tastey bakery goods from the title sponsor.

Although said to be a potential PB course this half marathon is mentally tough. The first 5 mile loop is followed by quiet country lanes from mile 7 that can be very mentally challenging. With little atmosphere until you hit mile 12. Starting area isnt the best, with queues for the toilets massive and then a mad run to make the start line in time. Which was at least half a mile away. We arrived an hour about the race started. The starting area was really tight and made finding starting position difficult. The pacers werent great, its fine to push you to beat your target but found the 1.40 to be way off pace at the start. Have taken part the last 2 years and in all honesty isnt one of my favourites. This year I was nursing heavy cold and chest infection so was tougher than usual, but they are the best medals. The area is confusing with different car parks etc, my husband spend an hour trying to locate where we had parked.

Great event.a very flat course which was very well organised.very enjoyable run only downside was the lack of nice views on the route

A good event, the course was flat but a little narrow in places that made it harder to overtake. The main issue was toilets at the start only 10, nearly 3k people this resulted in long queues. Which then made it tough to line up at the start in the correct expected time classification. The start was slow as a narrow section for everyone to pass through. I think more focus on facilities and letting people enter the correct estimated time Penn at the start would really help. Otherwise a nice event, good stewards. Road closures (single lane) both would have been better to create more space. More mile markers needed as sometimes felt unsure as to how far youd ran. The only other issue was the distance I recorded 21..4km on Strava as it should be 21.1km which felt a big difference. Would enter this event again as local and a good preparation race.

First half marathon I have done and I really enjoyed it, the set up and marshalling was good. A nice medal and cakes at the end. Would recommend this for anyone doing their first half marathon.

Positives Fast course, well attended race, strong field & well organisedNegativesParking was over a mile from finish line, not easy on tired legs!

Ive done this race for the last two years and this was the most disappointing. Of course there was last minute changes to car parking that couldnt be helped but lack of signs for registration directions and lack of help finding car after. A rude Marshal who was sarcastic about water spraying on him , big toilet queues and miles back to car spoilt the day. Previous years were faultless
