 There are no road closures for this event, and some parts of the race take place on open roads.

What’s Included

All runners must be at least 17 years of age on the day of the event.

Race registration will open at 8.00am and close at 9.50am. If you arrive after this time, you may not be able to participate. Each runner will receive timing information for both gun and chip times.

FAQs

 

Are there toilets?
Yes, there will be lots of portaloos at the Race HQ, although none are provided on the route.

 Are there change facilities?Yes, we provide an area for changing which is available throughout the event.Are there showers?
No, sorry.

Where can I leave my bag?
The car park is right next to the start, although we also offer a manned bag drop from 8.00am

 Can I run with my dog?
No, sorry. The route is quite narrow in places and this is simply not practical.Can I run with a buggy?
No, sorry, again this is not practical on the race route.Can I wear headphones?
No. The event is an open road race, and you will need to listen to marshals’ instructions. Our insurance prohibits the use of in ear headphones, and you risk disqualification. Bone conducting headphones are also not allowed.

Is there any refreshments?
 The Refreshments stall opens at 8.00am , selling a variety of snacks – including tea, soft drinks, cakes, savoury and healthy options. We cannot guarantee that the food is free from nuts or other allergens.

 Is there any first aid?
 There will be two first aid stations: one at Race HQ and one on the course. These will be staffed by Hearn Medical.

Is there any water station?
 We will have 3 water stations on our course handing out cups of water. The weather may be hot so ensure so runners must ensure they are fully hydrated and nourished before the event, and may choose to carry additional water.

Did you know that the banner advertising the event on the bridge near the station has the wrong date on it (Sunday 9 July)? This may prove confusing.

    I did this race last 4 years and it’s a great event, not too many people, hilly enough and route is well marked, marshals always helpful and supportive

    I started running last year, and this was my second 10k , I found the course has a mixture Scenery and road track , was really nice set up as well , I also liked when the drone flying around in the sky taken video , I really appreciate that there was a lot of water stations just what we needed in this hot weather and the big thank you to Ware ,well done 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
