We organise off road running races of various distances and skill levels throughout the Bath & Bristol areas of the South West of England. Aspire was formed in 2014 by husband and wife team, Tony & Donna King with the sole aim to get everyone, young and old out into the great outdoors – Therefore getting healthier and fitter as a family in some of the South West’s most scenic places and venue’s. Our races are open to all abilities and we will NEVER set time limits, that is simply against all we believe in here. However, we do occasionally throw into the race calendar races for the more experienced (We do like to cater for everyone at Aspire after all!) Our events have varying distances on offer and every finisher receives a medal, yes even our very own free 5 and unders 50m dash! From September, 2017 we will be introducing new bespoke medals for every event. (We all like our bling after all!) Aspires ethos is as follows: Everyone loves a challenge and we simply want all our lovely runners to enjoy themselves, enjoy the varied routes on offer and keep smiling (You never know where the race photographer will be after all!) But more importantly just believe in yourself and just remember at the finish line there will be our usual and now famous finishers table… Yes , that means cakes and treats!

  • Did the 10 Km in 2019

A well organised run, with excellent signposting & plenty of friendly marshals to point out the right way. The majority of the very twisty course was on grass with the rest being on tarmac & a small section of woodland. There were sections that were very muddy & therefore slippery so trail shoes with good grip was essential. There was a nice medal at the end & a table with plenty of fruit, biscuits, Jaffa cakes etc. They even had a free from & vegan section which were really tasty. The only criticism I can make it that the length of time between finishing the race & the trophy presentation was too long but a small price to pay if you win one

Great signage, really supportive marshals on the car park and around the course as usual. Safety briefing informative and a great table of goodies post race

Plenty of mashalls and well supportive, the only niggle is there could be a better and saver place for a bag drop.

The course wasnt flat as mentioned previously on the event webpage. Was also too slippery. Would be better to mention wearing trail running shoes next time.

The first off road race I really enjoyed, so muddy, but just the challenge I needed to get me out of my comfort zone. An excellent local race.

First time! Am deaf and every cadets make good sign where the next step. Recommend going there

Aspire events are always enjoyable, friendly and well organised but the best bit is always the cake at the end!!
  • Did the 10 Km in 2018

This was the third time Id run this course with Aspire and by far the hardest primarily because of the weather. It was extremely wet and very muddy which made it difficult under foot, especially on the second lap. The course was well marshalled throughout, with marshalls at every turn to ensure that nobody got lost!, they also provided a smiley face and encouragement as you made your way round the course.

Was overall good, however having somewhere warm to wait for the start would have made it 5/5

Good event, hard course, which would have been tough without the mud!!
