Did the race in 2021
This is the 4th time I Have run the Water of life 10k/half marathon, and it felt quite different to other years - perhaps the lower than previous years runners, but it had a very different feeling to other local races I have done, such as the Burnham Beeches 10k/half marathon. Lovely course as usual, but did lack some marshalling - especially on the way back, but lovely people nevertheless. I remember when it used to be sponsored by Diageo, so perhaps its just missing a sponsor to attract a greater field. Would recommend it as a race as it is a lovely course, has good parking, easy to get to and at £20 still good value for money.

A local 10km run that is very well organised and Marshalled. Personally not convinced it's a PB course as certain areas (such as bridges can become rather slippery). The biggest problem... Strava does not recognise as a 10km run (mine recorded 9.95km and a friends 9.99km) so if you're doing it as a monthly challenge be aware that you need to carry on running after the finish line.

I’m running a half a month in 2019. This has to be the most scenic so far. A really well organised and marshalled friendly chilled run - new PB too! Thanks

I love a small race event, the atmosphere is so friendly, the organisation might not be quite up to the standard of the huge races, but that’s often what makes them all the more endearing.

A fantastic race. It could not be faulted. Excellent course, marshalls so friendly and supportive, the whole atmosphere was out of this world. Certainly a race I would do again and recommend. Thanks for such a nice medal and t-shirt. Well done everyone. One of the best races I have done in the 30 years I have been running.
