Route information
Cycle the Way of the Roses across 2 days in this tough cycle along 170 miles and with 7332ft of climbing. Experienced cyclists are definitely encouraged and should be comfortable with an average speed of around 12mph over this kind of distance.
Splitting the route into 2 days makes the distance much more manageable, with the toughest ride of 77 miles on day 1, meaning you can enjoy a more leisurely cycle to the finish line on day two. While a slightly longer distance, the route is much less hilly along the Bridlington.
The Way of the Roses is a fully marked route with National Cycle Way signs all the way along the route. The event will have 2 experienced staff to support the ride, a lead vehicle and following vehicle you can be sure that support is close at hand.
Sportive HQ will provide 2 feed stops each day in their usual style along the way, roughly every 35 miles, hot drinks and great real food (and cake) to be expected. On arrival in Bridlington, get a shower and tuck into pizza by the sea, the organisers will load your bikes ready for the journey home.
