Cycle the Way of the Roses in just one day in this tough cycle along 170 miles and with 7332ft of climbing. Experienced cyclists are definitely encouraged, as this will not be one for the faint-hearted. Cyclists should be comfortable with an average speed of around 14mph over this kind of distance.
The Way of the Roses is a fully marked route with National Cycle Way signs all the way along the route. The event will have 2 experienced staff to support the ride, a lead vehicle and following vehicle you can be sure that support is close at hand.
Sportive HQ will provide 5 feed stops in our usual style along the way, roughly every 35 miles, hot drinks and great real food (and cake) to be expected.
On arrival in Bridlington, get a shower and tuck into pizza by the sea, the organisers will load your bikes ready for the journey home.
- 2 Support Vehicles with experienced staff, first aid trained, 1 lead vehicle, 1 following vehicle so you can ride at your own pace
- 5 feed stations with great quality food and hot drinks
- Transport for you, your bike and your luggage back to the central location

It was very much the feeling that sportives were becoming more expensive over the last few years and that need not be the case, value for money can be put alongside quality events. Sportive HQ works alongside local clubs to produce events that riders will want to do every year. We listen to what riders want from an event and endeavour to meet those requests. At Sportive HQ we like to keep things simple, ample free parking, showers, changing rooms, a timed event with well spaced, well stocked feed stations and routes to challenge everyone of all abilities. Sportive HQ helps in the production of many local charity events and have helped raise, alongside local clubs, in excess of £50,000 for local charities over the last few years.
