Route information
These races all take place within the stunning grounds of Weston Park Estate. There are 1,000 acres of beautiful grounds and gardens, creating a Triathlon and Duathlon paradise.
These events are designed for athletes of all abilities, so whether you are an experienced triathlete or trying a multi-sport event for the first time, you can come along to take on the challenge.
There will be a lively event village with music, commentary, shopping and food. There will be a fun and supportive atmosphere, and all the family can come along with plenty to see and do.
Super Sprint Triathlon
Swim 400m, cycle 11.7k, run 2,5k
Swim 400m, cycle 11.7k, run 2,5k
This beautiful triathlon begins with a 400m swim in the natural pool, where swimmers will be surrounded by greenery and birdlife. On completing the swim, participants will cross the parkland towards transition for the first time.
The bike course will be a fast closed roads route with competitors completing 2 laps. As you head out of the Estate you will be able to enjoy some stunning countryside scenery, cycling along tree-lined roads. On your way back you will catch sight of the amazing Estate buildings and transition.
The tranquil run will take in the best the Estate has to offer. You will run through open parkland as well as heading through a woodland garden. Runners will also run alongside the beautiful lake, before popping out of the trees with Weston Park in sight for a 200m sprint finish!
Sprint Triathlon

The beautiful swim also takes place in the stunning natural pool, where swimmers will be surrounded by greenery and birdlife. On completing the swim, participants will cross the parkland towards transition for the first time.

Sprint Duathlon Run 2.5k, cycle 24.4k, run 5k
The opening run in this duathlon takes in the best that Weston Park estate has to offer. Runners can enjoy a combination of open parkland and stunning woodland areas. The tree-lined paths are a wonderful running track and you will not be disappointed. As you pop out of the woodland, transition will come into the view for your first change.
The bike course will be a fast closed roads route with competitors completing 4 laps. As you head out of the Estate you will be able to enjoy some stunning countryside scenery, cycling along tree-lined roads. On your way back you will catch sight of the amazing Estate buildings and transition.
As you put your running shoes back on the second run will take in more stunning Estate scenery. You will run through open parkland as well as heading through a woodland garden. Runners will also run alongside the beautiful lake, before popping out of the trees with Weston Park in sight. This will be the start of your second lap and when you reach this point for the second time it is time for a 200m sprint finish!

Weston Park is situated on the A5 at Weston-under-Lizard, just 30 minutes from Central Birmingham, 3 miles off the M54 Junction 3 and 8 miles off M6 Junction 12.
Parking
For the event entrance, please use TF11 8LE to locate the event car park.
By Train
The nearest train stations to Weston Park are:
- Telford – 12 minutes
- Wolverhampton – 25 minutes
- Stafford – 20 minutes

Confirmed timings and event specific registration timings will be sent out as part of the final instructions 10 days before the event.
Final Instructions
Your Final Instructions will be sent out to you at least 10 days before the event. These instructions include all the detailed information you will need about the event and your specific race including confirmed timings.
Race Pack
You will collect your race pack on the day of the event when you register on the morning of the race. Your race pack will include:
- Timing chip (this must be returned after the race)
- Race bib number
- Bike flag
- Transition security wristband
- Colour coded swim hat
Race Rules
This event follows British Triathlon Rules.
Age Restrictions
You must be at least 15 by 31/12/2023 to take part in the Super Sprint Triathlon. Competitors in the other races must be at least 17 by 31/12/2023 to take part.
Cut-off Times
All 3 races have a cut-off time of 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Mandatory Kit
You must bring a wetsuit to the event, and based on the water temperature the wetsuit may be forbidden, optional or mandatory. The water temperature will be measured on race day and communicated with everyone taking part.
- Forbidden above 22°C
- Optional between 22°C and 14°C
- Mandatory below 14°C
You must bring your own bike and helmet, E-bikes and power assisted bikes are not allowed, but any other bike is, including mountain bikes.
Transition
Transition will be open at specific times for each event, and it will close no later than 15 minutes before the race start time. These timings will be confirmed in the Final Instructions email.
Weston Park Facilites Fee
Weston Park charge a facilities fee for all participants. This fee of £5 includes participant access to the Park for the whole day, discounted from the standard £8.00 ticket price.
