The stunning Somerset coastline makes for an incredible route. Starting and finishing at the Grand Pier, runners make their way South past the SeaQuarium and in-land, uphill towards Weston General Hospital. Runners will then circle back towards the ocean run the final quarter of a mile out to sea at Weston's Grand Pier.
Participants must reach 10 miles by 13:00 in order to avoid the cut-off. If runners have not reached this point they will be turned around and allowed to finish the remainder of the course. Unfortunately this is strictly enforced because of the road closures.
The Community Mile is designed to encourage first-time runners, families, and friends to come together and challenge themselves to get active for a fitter, healthier life.
COVID-19 Information:
Although it cannot be predicted where we will be as a nation by October, the event organisers have put well thought-out, flexible and responsive measures in place to ensure the Weston Super Half is a COVID-secure event, as other events have already shown is possible.
