Did the Wild Boar - Olympic Distance in 2022
The 'gravelly' run course was dangerous. The corners were too tight and the blind corner up the run hill needed an up/down separation. There were no where near enough support team and a few of those who were there didn't seem to know what they were doing. There was one particular volunteer who just needed more support because he couldn't manage to tell everyone where they were supposed to go and the signage was poor.I know you need to read the documentation for any course (which I did) but when you're tired you just need clear signage and clear instruction from competent support staff/volunteers. This didn't happen. The quarry swim was beautiful but it would have made more sense to start/finish at the end closest to T1, trekking 300m+ across gravelly boulders in flip-flops/temporary shoes was dangerous and inconsiderate to the athletes.

The bike course was suitably challenging but didn't like the turning left on a red light part. Stopping would have meant holding other people up so felt a bit off.Marshall were great though, superb atmosphere.Worth having a collector for the coloured wristbands too, seems a waste to just let people keep them.Awesome venue too, mindful that it was not the original one; that run lap kept everyone honest! 😁A big thank you to everyone.
