Route information
The breathtaking National Botanical Gardens of Wales is the home of this Duathlon. The race format will be as follows:
- Run 5k
- Cycle 30k
- Run 5k
Both run sections will keep runners within the grounds of the Gardens.
The cycle will take you out onto the surrounding roads where the outstanding course takes you through rolling hills surrounded by beautiful farmlands.
The courses will have a water station at the start/finish point and be well marked and marshalled throughout, where you will no doubt receive wonderful encouragement from the Tough Runner team.
The event is open to all abilities, whether you're an experienced multi-discipline athlete, or trying a new event for the first time. Anyone who feels capable of completing the distances is welcome.

The National Botanical Gardens of Wales are situated approximately 9 miles east of Camarthen. The venue can be accessed from the B4310, which comes off the A48. The A48 leads on from the end of the M4 at Junction 49.
Parking
Parking will be provided on the site of the National Botanic Gardens. There will be plenty of spaces available but please arrive early to leave plenty of time before your race.
By Train
Camarthen and Llandybie Stations are the closest to the venue, approximately 9 miles away.

Race Numbers
Your race pack will include a race number and 2 stickers, which must be attached to your bike and your helmet. This must be done before you enter the transition zone.
Age Requirements
You must be at least 17 years old to take part.
Transition
The transition area will be open between 06:00 and 07:40. You cannot ride your bike in the transition area, and you must wear your helmet at all times in the transition area whether you are on your bike or running with your bike.
Security will be present in the transition area throughout so you don't need to worry about your equipment. Please note that you will need your ID to go in and out of the transition area.
Keeping the race tidy
Please throw away any rubbish in the dedicated trash zone or give it to a marshal.
Drafting
This is a no drafting race.

If you are not currently a member of the British Triathlon Federation, your ticket will cost £6 more which covers the cost of a day membership.

Unfortunately, there is no bag drop at this event. Please leave your belongings in your locked car, keeping valuables out of sight.
