Route information
Terrain: Paths / Tracks / Grass
The route consists of paths, tracks and some grass. Good running or walking shoes are essential. The route is undulating so we would definitely recommend you follow a training plan and add in some hill training which should get you to the finish in style!
The 10k, 5k and 1.8k routes weaves their way around the picturesque grounds of Hatfield House, allowing a unique opportunity to explore hidden parts of the estate not normally open to the public.

Hatfield House is about a 15 minute walk from Hatfield Station which has regular trains to London, Cambridge and Welwyn Garden City.
Event day logistics
10:00 Family Fun Run Starts
11:00 5k and 10k start
* It is recommended that you arrive between 45 and 60 minutes before your race starts to ensure you have enough time to register and warm-up.
Age Requirements
5k entrants must be 11 or older to enter the event, and 15 and older to enter the 10k.
There is no minimum age to enter the Family Fun Run, only that children under 8 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Cut-Off Times
10k participants must be able to complete the course within 2hrs 30mins, while 5k entrants must be able to complete the course in 1hrs 15mins.
Race Packs
Race packs will be posted out to all entrants who enter before October 1st. Entries made after this will need to collect their race packs on event day.
FAQs
Are there any age restrictions for the Willow 10k?
Yes, the 10k and 5k is open to runners aged 14 and over (who must have consent from a parent or guardian). There is no minimum age to enter the Family Fun Run, only that children under 8 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
How will I know that my entry for the Willow 10k has been confirmed?
You will get a confirmation email from Let’s Do This once you have completed the booking process.
What time shall I arrive to the Willow 10k?
It is recommended to arrive at least 45-60 minutes before the start of your race to allow plenty of time to register, collect your race pack, attach your race number and warm up.
