Wilmslow 10K route
The Wilmslow 10k course offers runners the perfect mix of flat running, scenic scenery and with it’s town centre location a fantastic atmosphere to help you enjoy your 10k experience. The course is fully closed to all traffic at all times during the event.
The course starts in Wilmslow town centre outside Hoopers and Pizza Express, heading South West along Knutsford Road, passing through the leafy residential streets of Wilmslow, with a lightening quick first 5k setting you up perfectly for a personal best attempt.
The rural section of the course offers excellent scenery of the Cheshire Countryside before winding its way back to the finish on Mobberly Road with just one hill within the 8th km to test your strength.
The final 1km takes in the same finishing route as the popular Wilmslow Half Marathon with 400m and 200m to go signs in place helping you time that sprint finish to perfection!

I wanted to email and say a big thank you to the 55minute Pacers who helped me not only get my pb today but smash it, they provided encouragement the whole way around! Thank you 😊Did the 10K in 2018
I enjoyed the race very much. The first 5K was very fast which set the standard for the race and smashed my pb. The finish point of the race was very crowded and slow moving so it was difficult to move around the finishing area. The walk from the start did not bother me, it was nice to have a proper cool down after the race. Overall, I enjoyed it very much and would think about doing the race again whenever I would like another shot at beating my pb.Did the 10K in 2018
Attack the first half. Get out hard and hang in there.Did the 10K in 2018
The race is organised really well, plenty of toilets before hand, great marshalling from showing you where to park right through to when you have finished and receive your medal etc. The course is fast on closed roads, it's a slightly undulating route on country lanes with 1 larger dip and climb during mile5. You finish about 1 mile from the start but nice because in encourages you to do a little cool down jog. Brilliant race that I will do again.Did the 10K in 2018
Really good and enjoyable event, I'll be back next year. Could be a later start haha;). Very well organised. Nice scenic route.
