This 1 lap route takes runners along a mix of urban and country paths starting right outside the historic Winchester Guildhall in The Broadway. The route takes runners up St George's Street before going out towards the village of Kingsworthy.
The return leg passes through the village of Headbourne Worthy and back towards Winchester before finishing at The North Walls Recreation Centre.

Parking
Recommended car park is St Peter's, Gordon Road, SO23 7DD which is roughly 800 metres from the start and 800 metres from the finish.
Parking here is free on sundays.

Race Packs
Entrants will be sent their race packs in the post before the event, however if it does not arrive please head to registration on the morning of the event.
If you entered the event before the 30th of January your pack will be sent to you in the post. If you entered after this date your pack can be collected from Winchester Town Centre on Saturday or on the morning of the race.
Age Requirements
All entrants must be 16 and older to enter the event.
Bag Drop
There will be a bag drop at the start for £2, of which the proceeds go to a local charity who will be manning the bag drop.
Toilets
There will be toilets in the park next to The Broadway and also 100 metres further up the High St opposite Marks and Spencers.
Booking Protect
Refund protection is available at a cost of £4.23. It is recommended you include this option in order to get a full refund of the purchase price should you or anyone in the party be unable to attend due to;
  • Injury or illness happening to you, or a member of your immediate family
  • Adverse weather including snow, frost, fog or storm where the Police or Government have issued travel warnings
  • The mechanical breakdown, accident, fire or theft en route of a private vehicle taking you to the booked event

Sorry no dogs allowed at this event, the only acceptation is disability dogs (such as guide dogs are permitted)

Unfortunately the course is not very buggy friendly.

Is there a bag drop at the Winchester 10k?
Yes, there will be a bag drop at the start which is £1. 100% of this money goes to a local charity shop running the bag drop.

Can I wear headphones to the Winchester 10k?
In ear or over ear headphones are not permitted under UKA rules and if a runner is seen wearing this type of head phones they will be disqualified

Not if you have received your number in the post. If you haven't received it ahead of time, you'll need to register at race HQ at Alexandra Sports Shop.

Yes, there'll be public toilets in the park next to The Broadway opened for this event. There are also toilets on the High St opposite Marks and Spencer.
