Novice Triathlon
200m Swim, 11k Bike, 2.5k Run

The Novice Triathlon is for anyone new to the sport and looking for a first race to take on. The race will be short and speedy, and a wonderful opportunity for a stress free way to get into Triathlon.

Sprint Triathlon
400m Swim, 22k Bike, 5k Run

This Sprint Triathlon is perfect if you're looking for a slightly tougher challenge, and still a great race for anyone new to the sport, but also slightly more experienced triathletes as well. Participants will take on two laps of the hilly course around Winchester.

Children’s Triathlon
100m Swim, 2k Bike, 1k Run

This race is suitable for children between the ages of 8 and 15, and takes place entirely within the school grounds. The swim will take place in a shallow pool before the bike and run sections see the children racing around the grass fields outside.

This brilliant event will have a wonderful atmosphere and will be a day out to remember for the whole family.

By Car

Kings School is in on the west edge of Winchester. The town can be accessed from the M3 or the A34, and the school is on Sarum Road.

By Train

Winchester Train Station is approximately 2 miles from the School.

The cycle was a bit much for a Novice triathlon. Basically all up hill, its partly on a main road with traffic lights and if you’re at the back, no marshals on the country roads!

A very lumpy, hilly course, definitely more of a challenge for new competitors. Could be off putting for some, particularly as heavily marketed as a newcomer event. Also why weren't the roads swept/cleaned i.e. around transition area and where the spray paint was put down

The course is very hilly but it is what it is, it was quiet well organised but room for improvements for sure, more signs towards the end would of pushed for a sprint finish, marshals at the end weren't paying attention to bib colours and sent me the wrong way, when i questioned it, i was directed the correct way through the finish, all while you running and trying your best.Would of been nice to my feet to have had the red carpet run all down transition or just for the ground to have been sweeped up from stones and broken bits of wood from the trees. The weather didnt help bring spectators out so the atmosphere was .... none existent, no radio or music at the finish, no photographer at finish. Would of been nice and more value for money to have had a tri t-shirt with our medal at the end, rather than me having to buy one for £20, for the booking fee i paid, receiving a sticker pack, medal and a small bottle of water just cant see value for money here.Dont think ill personally be back.

Really nice atmosphere and friendly set up to help the novice Triathletes but also good practice mentally when the run and bike are two loops and you know you have to do them again.

All the Marshalls and organisers, everyone was so friendly, upbeat, helpful and welcoming. Please pass on my thanks to those cheering us on as it really does make a difference. Everything flowed well and the whole feel of it was very friendly and encouraging. Thanks for a great first tri experience.

More signs towards the end would have been nice so you know how much further you have to go. The last Marshall’s before the finish line sent both me and my husband the wrong way, added time on. No music on when we finished. No atmosphere. Far too many people in each swimming lane, 2 people per lane is enough as it is narrow. Wouldn’t recommend or do it again.

Had a great time. This was my first tri and I loved it. Would have been good to have more info about the course from the get go so I could tailer my training abit more.
