This route will be entirely on Suffolk roads and have some good views of the windmill and Dalham Hall.
Those doing under a half marathon distance will travel along an out and back route, being turned around required, making it a very social route.
The half marathon will be one loop, 2 loops for the full marathon and then the run to the 5k turnaround point for an ultra.
Each lap there will be an aid station stocked full of cold drinks and nibbles.

Waves
Participants have the choice to start their race at 9 am or 11 am. Please note that both waves will end at 3 pm, meaning those in the second wave will have a 5 hours to finish, while those starting at 9am will have 7 hours to finish.
Race Packs
Race bibs will be collected on the day from registration.
Age Restrictions
All entrants must be 18 and older to enter the event.
Water/Aid Station
There will be a water/aid station at Race HQ, which will be situated at the start and lap point of the route.
Bag Drop
There will be a space for runners to leave their bags and belongings, however they are left at your own risk and should not contain valuables. It is advised by the organiser to leave your belongings in your car, keeping valuables out of sight.
Lucky Dip Medal
The lucky dip medal (where available as an option) gives runners a chance of receiving a previous Zig Zag Events medal for a slightly reduced cost. This can be chosen when registering and ensures a little surprise on event day.
Cupless Event
Please note the event has gone cupless, so please bring your own water bottle to the event.
Zig Zag Running
Since 2000, Zoe of Zig Zag Running started running, starting from scratch with the feat of trying to get to complete a 5k, taking the couch to 5k training plan. It just didn't stop there, over the years pushing herself, this self motivation eventually evolved into marathon running. Zoe has completed Marathons, Ultra Marathons, 5 Marathons in 5 Days, 52 marathons in 52 weeks, 10 marathons in 10 days, 100 marathons in 100 weeks, a 50k & a 50 mile Ultra marathon, with her target next of completing a 100 mile race. Stephens background is in Hypnosis, therapy, sports coaching and Entertainment. During this time we have both gained valuable experience in what it takes to organise a good marathon, we have also both met and made friends with some wonderful people who are such fun to be around, with useful advice, assistance and encouragement throughout the country and even in other corners of the world Our mission is to give our runners the best experience and encourage others to achieve their goals and dreams and to also impart the ideals of good sportsmanship, community and health.

What time should I arrive at the Windmill Way Wander?
You should arrive at least 45 minutes before your start wave to ensure you have time to register and warm up.
How old must I be to enter the Windmill Way Wander?
All runners must be 18 on the day of the event.
Is there a cut-off time at the Windmill Way Wander?
Yes there is a 6 hour cut off for this event. If you stat at 9 you will have 6 hours, whereas if you start at 11am you will only have 4 hours to complete your chosen distance.
