Route information
First Run Course
  • The run will start next to the Main Registration Marquee and will be an out and back course measuring 2.75k
  • The Super Sprint Duathlon run will be 1 out and back lap, the Sprint Duathlon run will be 2 out and back laps and the Standard Duathlon run will be 4 out and back laps
  • Once completed, competitors will proceed into the run-in entrance of the transition area
Bike Course
  • The course consists of approx. 5k laps around the famous lake
  • Super Sprint Duathlon will complete 2 laps, the Sprint Duathlon will complete 4 laps and the Standard Duathlon will complete 8 laps
  • Please note that it is the competitor's responsibility to count the number of laps they have ridden
Final Run Course
  • The final run course is once again an out and back loop equal to 2.5k
  • The Super Sprint distance will be 1 lap and the Sprint & the Standard distances will be 2 laps
Lake Runs - 5k, 10k, 15k, and Half Marathon
  • The 5k, 10k and 15k courses are laps around the lake, the 5k will be 1 lap, the 10k 2 laps, and the 15k will be 3
  • The course is fast and flat and takes place on tarmac paths and closed roads
  • This is a perfect course for first-time runners or those looking to get a PB

Dorney Lake is ideally placed, being within easy reach of London, Heathrow Airport, the M4 corridor and the M25, M40, and M3 motorways.
Train
The main stations for Dorney Lake are Slough and Windsor, and Eton Riverside.
Event day logistics
08:00 Duathlon races start
11:00 Half Marathon, 15k, 10k and 5k races start
Registration
Do not expect to receive anything by post. All Bib numbers (and bike stickers where applicable) will be available for collection at the event only.
Age requirements
  • Duathlon Sprint and Super Sprint: Entrants must be 15 years or over to participate
  • Duathlon Standard and Half Marathon: Entrants must be 17 years or over to participate
  • Half Marathon: Entrants must be 17 years or over to participate
  • 15k: Entrants must be 16 years or over to participate
  • 10k: Entrants must be 15 years or over to participate
  • 5k: Entrants must be 11 years or over to participate
Draft-illegal
The Duathlon categories are draft-illegal and are expected to be licensed by the BTF. Please familiarise yourself with the following rulesExternalLink specifically sections 5 (cycling), 6 (running), and 7 (transition).
Bag Drop
There will be a bag drop for participants to use. Participants are asked to only leave essential belongings and to use the tear-off bag strip on their bib.
Water stations
There will be water stations only available on the run routes. Duathlon participants must carry with them anything necessary to refuel and hydrate during the bike leg.
Rewards
There will be prizes available for male and female top 3 places overall and the top place in each of the veteran categories (V40/V50/V60/V70).
Wheelchairs
This event is suitable for wheelchair users. Any participants wishing to compete with specialised equipment are asked to contact the organiser of the race before entering to ensure they can accommodate any additional requirements.
Dogs
Participants must not be accompanied by their personally owned dog during an event. Some entries may be accepted from participants with medical assistance dogs, subject to them being registered and identifiable as such.
Buggies, Pushchairs and Strollers
These are all strictly prohibited under UKA guidelines.
