An iconic venue, very flat and perfect to go for a PB. Not much support along the route but the marshals very friendly and make up for that.

Did the Half Marathon in 2018

This is a multi lap half marathon. The course is flat and fast but is exposed so when windy you could really feel it. There is also a 5K and 10K race which is held and during the last lap caught up the bulk of the pack. The reason for the 4 stars on course and organisation was that their was little runners etiquette shown which made over taking difficult. In terms of atmosphere your running around the lake there are a few people at the finish line but this isn't a big city half. Its a good course if you are looking for a PB.

As always with RunUK this was a good one. They always provide great value for money and love that. I'm not looking for an event with all the fancy frills - just something that does the basics well and this was it :)

My first ever finisher's medal and it was a corker. The 10k was my first ever event and I loved it. The organiser's made everything feel so easy and really calmed my nerves. It is a great course and I can't believe I raced at an olympic venue. Big thumps up!
