Route information
THE COURSE -
The Wineathlon is an easy trail run/walks for beginners right through to seasoned athletes, the concept is simple; Cross the start line, follow the well marked off road routes to the first feed station, have some wine then away you go again following the route to the next station, then onto the finish.
- A flat trail run/walk
CUT-OFF TIME -
3 hours after this the finish line will have disappeared!
WATER STATIONS
The athlons all have a water/feed station every 2 miles or less, stocked with plenty of water and nibbles etc, and then Wine at the WineAthlon.
MARSHAL'S
The marshal's will be helping you throughout the whole route.
RACE PHOTOGRAPHY
Photos, all the athlons have professional photographers who's photos of you on race day, will be available free to download within a few hours of your finish, these will not be the usual finish line photos!

Spectators are very welcome although will not be eligible to drink the special ales as this is reserved for the participants!

Can I bring my dog?
Yes! We have a canicross option available.
Who are the prizes given to?
Prizes for 1, 2 & 3rd place, best team name, best fancy dress...
spot prizesI am unable to compete - Can I give my place to another person?
The simple answer is NO, it causes far too many issues with registration both prior too and on event day, causes issues with timing and as a result means we do not offer this option. Please don't ask!
How can I check race results?
Race results will be published within two days after the race ends, on our website under the 'Event Results'. On the day results will be available from the Race Results centre - Somewhere near the Finish Line. we may even email result to you but we cant promise this! it is your responsibility to visit the website if you want them in a hurry!
Is there an Age Restriction?
Due to the availability of alcohol at the WineAthlon and AleAthlon events we have to say Strictly NO under 18s, our policy is simple; if you are not 18 years of age or older on event day you will NOT be taking part, ID may be requested by any member of our team.The wine is available for sampling purposes only, a single sample of wine will be available for each competitor, taking more than one will mean someone else missing out! BE AWARE THAT YOU MAY BE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE PROOF OF AGE
